 When my children were growing up I would sometimes watch them sleep… the beautiful humans that fill my heart with joy and struggle. I would walk in and be overwhelmed by the magnitude of love that I had for them while they were peacefully sleeping, occupying the most sacred parts of my heart. The chaos of daily life seemed to melt away with the perspective that I found in these moments. 

This piece is an elegy of sorts to those moments.
