Bodies of Work > 2015, Out of the Woods and Into the Ring

After visiting the Circus Museum in Sarasota a few years ago, it was clear to me that I needed to make my own versions of some of the masks worn by "clowns" under the Big Top... These masks have no eye holes and are incredibly heavy and awkward but are still made as though they could be worn.. more metaphorically than otherwise. Raising teenagers has made my skill set in parenting seem vastly inadequate and I continually search for the right mask to wear for each situation that arises in these wonderfully complicated years of family life.
