What Will You Give Me if I Let You Down?
What Will You Give Me if I Let You Down?
Low fire clay, glaze, lustre, polychromed hancarved wood, stainless steel

The fluctuating nature of domestic relationships is at the heart of this piece. When I was a kid, we used to play on see-saws at the park all the time...if you were the light one, on top, you were at the mercy of the heavier player. We used to have a game that was probably very commonplace in parks across the country, the heavier player would chant, "Mister Brown, Mister Brown, what will you give me if I let you down?..." A lot of Halloween candy and bike rides on the back of banana seats were won and lost in this game...
Grown up situations are similar to those playground days some times...
